MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN KING

Design Day is the community-built playground kick-off event, where the design is imagined by the children, drawn by hand and presented to the community at a public “pep rally” event in the evening.

Our Deisgn Day started off first thing in the morning at King Elementary where bussed children from Poplar Springs attended as well.  The design interviews continued on at Mount Olive where Chestnut Grove and West Stokes students attended and also helped with parts of the actual playground design. Our designer, Lisa worked non-stop during day right up until our playground design unveil. Our public community design unveil took place that evening  at Chestnut Grove.
